Claudia K. Braymer


 

Professional Associations

Claudia serves as a co-chair of the Adirondack and Catskill Forest Preserve committee of the Environmental Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Warren County Bar Association.


Volunteer Organizations

Claudia serves on the Committee on Character and Fitness for the New York State Appellate Division Third Department.

She volunteers as a pro bono attorney for the Adirondack Women's Bar Association's Legal Clinic for Survivors of Domestic Violence.

She is also one of the founders and is the head coach for the Foothills Rangers Rugby Club, a local youth rugby club.


Personal

Claudia and her family live in Glens Falls, New York. After college, she played rugby for the U.S. Women's Rugby Team from 2005 to 2010, participating in two World Cups during that time. Now, she plays rugby when she has a chance, and she coaches as many kids as possible! In November 2015, Claudia was elected to serve on the Warren County Board of Supervisors, as a representative of Glens Falls' Third Ward.

 

Education

Claudia graduated cum laude from Albany Law School in 2009 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2010.

During law school, she was a member of the Albany Law Review, and authored the article Recreation and Public Access in the Adirondack Forest Preserve. She was the President of the Environmental Law Society at Albany Law. She was also a 2006 Women and Public Policy Fellow at the University at Albany's Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy.

Claudia graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2002 with a degree in Environmental Resource Management. After graduating from Penn State, she worked as an environmental consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton in Arlington, VA.
